have a dream The suggestion
that school rooms be named after great classical personalities who
are worthy of emulation and as such will inspire school children to
achieve greatness. America America! The story of a village boy from Greece fulfilling his dream of coning to America to study and making America his home Antigone The story of the daughter of Oedipus who defies man made law and buries her dead brother in abeyance of the higher law that of Heaven. Oedipus Rex The story of the noble but tragic Oedipus who tries to avoid his destiny but cannot despite his pursuit of the truth. |
Membership/Meetings
Our membership is open to all who embody the Hellenic Ideals, so feel free to join us as a
member, or to come to our meetings, which are open, and are held every second Thursday of the
month in the Greek Orthodox Cathedral. The programs include a social hour, dinner, brief
business meeting, followed by a speaker on current events or on community concerns.
